It was fun to go back and read a classic book! The finding of the clues and the process, in my opinion, was much more interesting then the ending which I thought was bittersweet.

This is book 22 in the Nancy Drew Mystery series. The story is about a dancer that has been missing for 18 years and who needs to be found quickly because she stands to inherit a 'Heath Castle.' It starts out with Nancy's purse being stolen by a ten-year-old who's already a thug, and a young girl stealing rose bushes.

Nancy, George, and Bess encounter quite a bit of danger in the story as a boat they are in is rammed in a hit-and-run type of thing; there's an explosion in an abandoned factory that traps Nancy, and there's a number of crooks that are either following her, trying to abduct her, or worse.

There's also the mystery about something hidden somewhere in the castle walls that is some kind of treasure, but no one knows what kind of treasure or just where it is hidden, but a group of crooks want it.

The main crook is known right off, and again it's a matter of Nancy trying to find out just what it is he wants, who is working with him, how to stop him, and how to find the missing dancer.

It's a good addition to the series.
