“It is perhaps written in an amateurish way, I couldn't judge the writing because of the sweeping emotions it portrayed, and well. I cried and cried when I read this. I liked it.”see full review » see other reviews »

“If I could give a "0" stars rating, I would. I HATED this book. When I bought it, I lived in Iowa and I remember the bookseller making a sarcastic comment. He was right and I should have listened. I found it poorly written, overly sentimental, bleagh! Ick, ick, ick. (Did I say I HATED this book?)”see full review » see other reviews »

“Sometimes I wish that negative stars were allowed...this book deserves the Anti-Star. I wanted to read this book because everyone I knew had read it and love it and wept over it. "The greatest love story of all time." blah blah blah.
This book is absolutely waste of time.”
“This book was extremly boring and slow to me. ”Jessica C wrote this review Friday, September 27, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Hands down the worst book I have ever read. The only reason I finished it was because I was trapped in a crowded laundromat with no other English language reading material. A friend who I had not known long recommended it. Needless to say I never read another book she liked. I don't think I've missed anything.”Kate wrote this review Friday, September 6, 2013. “I have never came across any true love story that is so touching. The love between Robert and Francessca is undescribable with words. Mr. Waller had skillfully combined the whole love history of this couple that reading this book are like being in that time itself. Totally amazing....”Kathleen Marasco wrote this review Monday, August 26, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

“I read this book for a TIOLI challenge. One of my categories for the 12 in 12 challenge is to read some books for TIOLI. I did this one because it was short and I knew I could read it in about 5 days. I did just that.
This is the story of a woman and a man that she met one day. Francesca and Robert. Francesca is a farm wife and mother. While her husband and children are at a state fair showing their prize cow Francesca meets Robert Kincaid and photographer. When she sees him for the first time she feels drawn to him.
As I read the story I felt the attraction between the two of them. I was feeling her loneliness and lack of love from her marriage. She loved her husband but was still missing something and Robert Kincaid brought that yearning to the front.
The ending was very heartwarming. It brought tears to my eyes. I am glad that I took the time to read this book.”
“I don't really know why I read this. I don't approve of things that romanticize infidelity.”Snappy Annie wrote this review Saturday, March 23, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
