Stephanie Laurens novella was incredible. She did a great job of writting this Hero and Heroine's history together, and making you feel as if you have know them through out the years. The plot was creative, and the hero, delicious. Heroine although very much the ladies of her time period, did not want to be pushed over and stood her ground when the time came.
Mary Balogh's was heart wrenchin. This was the type of story I wish I had more chapters than I did. A real page turner and I think the best novella in the series.
Jacquie D'Allesandro's story, although not original and somewhat predictable, made me root for the hero unitl the last sentence. She did managet to throw in a few surprises there, and if you are a fan of an Alpha hero, then I am sure you will love Ethan.
Candice Hern's was the only story I really had a hard to clicking with. There was something there between the Hero and Heroine that just did not work for me. The story didn't flow as the others did, but in the end, I was happy these two FINALLY got the HEA they deserved.

“I was pleasantly surprised with this anthology because I using don't like them. The first three stories were wonderful, but I had to struggle through Miss Hern's. I just didn't like the overall concept of her story, I guess it just wasn't my taste, but it was nicely written. Overall, 4 stars.”

Yes | No“This is a wonderful collection of 4 "second chance at love" stories by 4 romance power houses. Typically in an anthology, the quality and appeal of all of the stories is inconsistent. Not so here. All of the stories are well-written and very appealing. The uniqueness of all four writers basically using the same plot gives this anthology an interesting edge. And I enjoyed the stories so much I wanted more!
In all four stories, 2 people meet accidentally at an inn after not seeing each other for 10 years and spend 24 hours together. Because all four couples have a past, the condensed time frame works. These were people who had loved each other in the past so there is already a connection and a history.
The stories are all very different but the characters are appealing. I felt I got to know these people despite the short length of the story and I cared deeply for them. I wanted those happily ever afters for all of them. My favorites were The Fall of Rogue Gerard by Stephanie Laurens and Spellbound by Mary Balog, but I enjoyed Only You by Jacquie D"Alessansro and From This Moment On by Candice Hern, too.”
“four stories with the same basic plot and very different characters and of course, happy endings.”
