“Loved this story of a group of young mothers who begin a writing group in the late 1960s. While their husbands and children remain the main part of their lives, these five smart ladies seek their own liberation through the written word. With the cultural (and countercultural) events of the 1960s playing like a newsfeed in the background, they write, honestly critiquing each other's work, and build an incredible bond of friendship that support them through marital difficulties, health issues, and the scary realities of the publishing world. ”

Even though the setting and places and people are in my backyard -- it didn't help spur my interest in this book. It was like reading someones' diary for the day by day events. ”
