Wonderful story. Touched me so very deeply, I can't count the many times I cried and yet rejoiced over the joy both families found in Jesus despite devastating circumstances. Praise God!

I thought I would relate to the story since I graduated from the same school as the Van Ryn girl but the story was written so poorly that I couldn't get past that aspect. Who was the writer talking about most of the time? Was it Laura or Whitney? Which family went through what? Find God, that's the point...right. THAT story has been written a hundred times.

I saw this story on MSNBC or something and it interested me. I didn't realize there had been a book written about it. I will have to see if it is available nearby to me so I can read it and see what I think.

This was an incredible true story of heartbreak and happiness and faith in the Lord. I was amazed at the faith that these families had and continue to have through their ordeal....Highly recommend
