I don't know what exactly about this novel bothered me so much. I really wanted to like it, but it never quite crawled out of mediocre. Will give the prequel a try and then write off this author forever. That'll show her!

Liked the mixed cultures here, and especially the talk about food. A light read good for a rainy day.

This is a nice wee book ... An easy read and likeable characters set in Ireland ... I would have rated it more but felt that alot of the story lines where unfinished and left me wondering what happened ... But it is a nice read and would read some more of her novels ... Plus there is the added bonus of recipes at the end ... Yum

This was a very short book that took way to long to read without ever getting anywhere. When I finally finished it I was disappointed to find that none of the plot or any of the little mysteries were explained

Just ok. I felt that the plotline didn't resolve at the end of the story. I wanted to see the little old busy bodies get some kind of come-uppance, and that thread wasn't even addressed at the end of the book. Does she get the guy? Does the girl get charged with a crime? Does Bahar go through with her conversion? Does Father Mahoney continue his radio broadcast?? Rather unsatisfying read actually.

I love both Pomegranate Soup and the sequel. The characters are great and I love the recipes at the end.
