It is titled after his sword made by the elves. Eragon is blessed with a gift from the dragon giving him super human abilities. This book also introduces readers to a new magic allowing men to capture and gain strength from dragon hearts. Eragon ultimately battles the evil emperor in this book.”

I chose to read this book because in the past i had read/ listened to the audio books for Eragon and Eldest. The theme of dragons is something that has always interested me and i am hoping since this book is over 700 pages it will begin to get more exciting soon. In this book Eragon has just began to speak an ancient language that enables him to create magic with nothing but wordsI am interested to see what will happen to Eragon and his dragon Saphira as i continue reading this story”

After waiting a few days outside, they make their move on the Ra’zac who killed their father and kidnapped Roran’s fiancée Katrina. Well Roran’s father and Eragon’s uncle who he considers his father, and with Eragon’s enhanced speed and skills he kills both of them. Eragon then stays behind to pass judgment on Sloan, Katrina’s father who she thought was dead. After dealing with him and deciding he has no right to become an executioner, Eragon places a complex spell on Sloan. Now Eragon must travel through the heart of the Empire to get back to the Varden. He eventually does but comes home to a disaster… The witch child Elva pretends to be nice but as soon as Eragon takes off his spell, she reveals her true intentions…
I have not completely finished the book; however I didn’t really like it as much as the others. I read these books because I like action and adventure. When the book started off with fighting the Ra’zac, I thought “hey! This is going to be good!” However, after that scene nothing much happened until he got out of the Empire, which took half the book. On a lighter note, the ending is picking up. It is getting more interesting and action filled. If it stays like this, I will definitely finish the series with the final book Inheritence.
