This third book of the Inheritence cycle was the best so far. This book was also the longest of the cycle. This book starts off with Eragon and Roran freeing Katrina from the Ra'zak. By the end of this book you can tell the end of the war is near, but who will win? Eragon and the Varden, or Galbatorix, Shruikan, Murtahg, and Thorn with the Empire?

Some things I did like about this book were, the "weapon" under the Menoa tree and the last battle of Oromis and Gladeir. That might sound like I'm glad they died, but what I'm saying is that it was an amazing fight. I never thought that the "weapon" was a material! One other thing that I liked was the way that the book began, the slow creeping toward the Ra'zak and Helgrind and then, BAM! Right into the action Eragon and Roran fighting the Ra'zak and Saphira fighting their mounts alone!

The one thing that I didn't like was the way that Eragon chose to deal with Katrina's father. If it were me that fool would have died!
