Worth reading for the tale of the pig's head in the toilet alone.

A very heavy dose of Thompson that is full of his humor and his madness.

Hunter S. Thompson writes honestly and hilariously. I love the way he likes to tell the story so that we can get an actual feel of what was happening.

    among his antics,

getting put in a decompression chamber while covering the watergate hearings

telling others to check the trunk of the next secret service car they find, because the weapons in the trunk are stellar.

A testament to the late, great Gonzo writer, Hunter Thompson. His humor lives in a very dark place and he rails against anything resembling sanity, conformity or the right of center politics by living his life in an altered state of mind. He's not as political as he is anti-establishment; meaning anything that conflicts with his personal freedom to express himself in a way that reflects 60's rebellion.

This book is perfect for those who have read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and want to learn more about the crazy freak responsible for it. This book has many funny anecdotes, as it is expected from Thompson, though at times it can be quite a boring drag.
