It curtails his time as part of the Hell Angels motorcycle gang up until he is "stomped" for an altercation with one of the members. ”

I also thought his conclusion - his falling out of love with the HAs and seeing them quite objectively - was unexpected but brilliant. ”

It manages to debunk so many of the myths about biker gangs, while making the truth seem that much more debauched and dangerous. Almost got him killed by a few Angels, and it's easy to see why. A better starting point for Thompson than the overrated Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. ”
