“Some beautiful turns of phrase, reflective moments and a good, clean ending. Holly is a pretty intriguing (not to mention quotable) character and that's sufficient to keep the reader captivated for the (short) duration of the story. Very well written, but my personal response wasn't strong enough to push it to 4 stars.
As for the other short stories, don't bother with House of Flowers or A Diamond Guitar (though I rate the latter slightly above the former). A Christmas Memory is worth the time, however: sweet and vividly written.”
