And yet Capote’s voice, with its...” see full review » see other reviews » |

“This was an alright read. The character Holly was interesting, but I don't see why so many guys liked her or why she was considered to be a New York socialite. Oh well, at least it's short.”

Just love Audrey Hepburn. I was surprised to learn the book is set in the 1940’s, not the 60's as the movie was, and this added an interesting twist to the story. While “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” was quite enjoyable, it was the short story “Christmas Memories” that caught my heart. ”

It's only 111 pages but I LOVE it. It is about Holly Golightly and "Fred" who befriend eachother in their apartment complex. She is wild, young woman (about in her 20s) who runs away from home, polishes her Okie accent, and becomes more sophisticated and "new-york-like". Fred slowly falls in love with her but their relationships does not go anywhere. Instead, Holly leans toward a Brazilian diplomat who promises everything in the world to her. This is a very raw review about Breakfast At Tiffany's but there are so many characters, sometimes it's hard to catch up. The movie strays away from the plot of the book a lot but I still love Audrey Hepburn's acting. I reccomend this book to any teenage girl who wants a very, very quick read and a pick me up. It's full of love, complication, and happiness.”
