It made me sad that Sam did not have any really value for herself, and kept trying to talking herself out of Mortimer because she could not see why he would like her. Of course, at first he did not see it either- it made me want to smack him for thinking such things. I did kind of suspect Grant when they mentioned him. I do not understand why it took so long and the men did not even have a clue to it being there neighbor. Guess they were too distracted.

I like how the Hunter series ties into the Argeneau series, but for some reason the Hunter series just lacks some of the luster that made the Argeneau series shine for me. I'm still really enjoying the series though.

While Lynsay Sands has come up with an innovative take on the vampire myth and her overall stories are creative there is a bit of repetition. She also has a tendency to dial up some situations to ridiculous levels and while in some novels it'd be fine, juxtaposed against the serious back-drops she creates it tends to take you out of a story rather than draw you in.

I liked this book, not as much as the Argeneau series but it was a good read. I noticed all throughout this book i ended up feeling bad for the guy because she's not his fantasy girl and he waits his whole frigging life for this chick to show up.....so yeah it's an unsettling read, but still good. Not great, good.

This series is kinda ridiculous. But I still like it. XD I like how it combines vamps, love stories, and mysteries. I enjoyed the interaction between the two love interests in this one. The mystery part, however, was SEVERELY lacking. There wasn't much of a mystery to it. They barely talked about it at all. And the whole thing with the girl's boss's biggest client's daughter? Horrible. This is definitely the worst of the series.
