“Battle between good and evil, bad vampires against circle of six (witch, warrior, scholar, shapeshifter, sorceror, vampire). Choices to be made, love to be found.”

“Love this more than Book 1! There's more action, suspense and everything about it is more than what I expected it to be. I love, love, love it! I thought I wouldn't like the romance between Blair and Larkin but this book made me fall in love with them. Terrific!!!”

The circle of six has just fought a skirmish with many vampires right in the middle of the handfasting ceremony for Glenna and Hoyt, and are recovering and continuing to train. As the time for Samhain draws closer, Morrigan again speaks to one of their number in a dream and tells them it is time to go back to Geall, where the battle will be fought. This book concentrates on the developing relationship between Blair Murphy, hereditary vampire hunter and descendant of Hoyt and Cian's younger sister, and Larkin, the shape-shifter and cousin to the future queen of Geall. As they continue to prepare for the war with the vampires that will determine the fate of the many worlds, they fall in love and have to deal with Blair's past hurts and fears.
I enjoyed this book just as much as the first one, and am eager to finish the story in book three. Ms. Roberts' writing is engaging and the plot moves quickly.”
