wonderfully written memoir of the author's "love affair" with alcohol; insightful, heartbreaking and brutally honest. Don' miss this one.

If you have a problem with drinking, this is your book. She is so human that you become her friend instantly. Because of this book, I found and read every other one she published. Sadly, we lost a great author when she died of cancer. I am sure she helped many people.

an honest and humorous memoir about an alocholics journey. the author bears her soul through her own story and other addicts. i think addicts and family member of addics would find this book especially helpful and inspiring altho the "love story" is really relevant to everyone.

One of the best autobiographical books I have ever read! How I saw myself, as well , as many I love. This book really made me take a step back and evaluate some things in my life. Tragically the author is no longer with us, but has left behind something that any person who asks themselves if they have has a problem, should read. I think this would be a great handbook accompanying an AA program.

Finally, a book that takes you down the real road of the progression of alcoholism.

Everyone who knows me knows that I love this book. I've probably read it eight times. Do I get a chip for that?

An amazing story about addiction. It definitely had me questioning my own "use" of alcohol.

I loved this book. It was a very fast read..probably because I couldn't put it down. I saw so many people in this book, myself included. I really liked how it helped me understand that a person never really deals with feelings or emotions while living in an alcohol-induced fog.
