“Wonderful, sensitive book. The novel is written in the form of letters between the main character and various other characters. The history of Guernsey during World War II was fascinating, and the story is seamlessly and beautifully told. The best book I read this year -- and it's November already!”

“Loved it, hadn't read all summer and this one finally got me back to it. Don't usually like letters but they were short and funny, did get a bit serious towards the end, talking about the war, Germany invading England, loved the characters.”

“Charming tale. You will fall in love with many of the characters. I wanted to travel to Guernsey after I finished this book. Appropriate for any reader.”
