It's so sad that the author passed away, I was hoping for another great book like this from her.

My mom read this book and handed it to me demanding that I must read it, so I did, and I fell in love with it.

I really enjoyed the book, but felt some of the characters need to show their own flaws so they would seem more realistic and human.

I under estimated the title..this once again proved Not to judge the book by its cover. After reading this...i recommended this to all of my friends.

One of the most beautiful books I've read. I felt I got to know each character. Haven't enjoyed a book more since Water for Elephants.

Okay, my sister-in-law says I'm crazy and you all will probably agree. I didn't like the format of the book at all. I didn't feel like I got to know the characters very much. She pointed out that I am a moody reader though. I hated "Eat, Pray, Love" until I put it down for awhile and then read it again later. I really liked it the second try so maybe I'll give Guernsey another try sometime. It is only fair.

This book surprised me. I didn't realize it was written through letters till I started it. I wasn't too excited. I kept trying to keep the characters in the letters straight. Very soon I was into the story and couldn't put it down. The Author , Mary Shaffer, was masterful at drawing you into the lifes of her characters and the small community on the isiand.

I enjoyed this book very much. The characters developed before your eyes as the letters continued. I am wondering if anyone has read other good books that have been told in letters like this. What are they?
