I'm the author, so I can't be objective about the book. However, I can tell you a little something about it. This is the story of Victoria Wells, a woman who goes from being a prostitute in the East End of London to a wealthy philanthropist in New York. Victoria is a long-timer, a person with an unusually long lifespan. She learns of her special attribute after being attacked by a shadowy figure who may or may not be Jack the Ripper. As she moves through time, she meets Charles and Renee...
