It never does get any simpler than a Palmer romance, and she has a formula that works VERY well for her. I mean, she’s been using it since I think about 1890 (there is no typo here).

Palmer is known for sweet and innocent virgins (one Amazon.com reviewer very amusingly called them “Diana’s Doormats”) and verbally abusive heros. They’re always good men hiding from something and not wanting commitment so they take it out on the doormat who accepts him anyway. Then he will do...
