Summary
The book is about abbey mice that try to collect the eyes of Doomwyte: two rubies and two emeralds. At the same time, Doomwyte and his wytes (birds and slow worms) try to retrieve the jewels themselves. The Doomwyte thinks that the Redwallers stole them.
