i find this book to be extremely boring. i also feel that the author takes great liberties in telling the reading how Roget felt about all sorts of things without really backing it up (i would like some more footnotes, etc.). i also also disappointed that it has taken the author 200 pages and he is just now getting into the creation of the almanac. a valiant effort by a first time author but definitely not something i would recommend. i imagine there are much better biographies/histories about this subject.
