“I read this on a snowy Sunday morning, expecting it to be a cheesy romantic little story to while away the hours. I should not have underestimated these three amazing YA authors. Because this isn't just fluff, this is one heck of a good book.
Part one, The Jubilee Express, is written by my new favorite author, Maureen Johnson. It tells the story of a teen girl named Jubilee who, for reasons too hilarious to reveal here, needs to travel to Florida by train to stay with her grandparents for Christmas. Snow thwarts her journey, and she winds up in a Waffle House, where a chance meeting changes the trajectory of her entire future.
Part two, A Cheertastic Christmas Miracle, is written by the amazing John Green, and it tells the story of two teen boys, JP and Tobin, and a teen girl known as The Duke, who try to make their way to the same Waffle House from part one, where the boys, at least, plan to play Twister with cheerleaders. Thanks to the weather and hidden amorous feelings, things don't quite go as planned.
Finally, in part three, The Patron Saint of Pigs, which is by Lauren Myracle, who I had not previously read, a somewhat self-absorbed teen girl named Addie deals with complicated feelings for a boy named Jeb (who coincidentally sits with Jubilee on the train in part one) and nearly ruins Christmas by failing to pick up a gift for a friend after promising to do so.
I loved and marveled at the interconnectedness of these three novellas, and I honestly want to read this about ten more times, just to enjoy the language and the humor of it all. It was kind of a heartwarming book, and I fell in love with the cast of characters and their trials and tribulations. but more than that, this is just really good YA writing from people who know how to write. I loved it. ”
“A fun, well-written YA romance book. The book contains three interconnected novellas by three authors. Read for a mom/daughter book club, and everyone enjoyed it.”

A great book to cuddle up with. Three fantastic authors in one book! :)
Usually when authors do short stories together, they have a common theme but they don't really go together. These stories are unique in that they all take place within the same time frame and tie together in unexpected ways. In other words, it was awesome!”
