- Simon: An average kid who discovers an ordinary book, but later realizes that it has mystical powers. He controls the friction formula, the gravity formula and the space-time formula.
- Owen: A quiet boy, who later befriends Simon and Alysha. He controls the velocity formula, but later loses it.
- Alysha: She originally cares about what she wears to school. After suspecting Simon of doing some "supernatural" things, she later realizes that he became the owner of the Book. She controls the electricity formula, but later loses it.
- Marcus: A colse friend of Barry. He is sometimes known as the school bully. Alysha later realizes that Marcus has a crush on her.
