This is the sequel to Fallen Angels. Sequels are tricky, because the reader is always comparing the books. I can't help but favor Fallen Angels, but this too is definitely worth the read. Great for teens and adults. This could be a great addition to a social studies curriculum and/or Veteran's Day event.

I'm reading this now...I've also read his other "war" book, FALLEN ANGELS.
Anyone know how he did his research for this one? He was in the army during Vietnam, so I know about Fallen Angels...I'm curious. One of my favorite authors!

Excellent read. An important book for any teen who is considering enlisting in the military. Meyers follows the first three months of an 18-year old soldier in Iraq and how the young man comes to grips with the reality that all about war is not glorious.
