I enjoyed this book very much. I embraced myself in each character and came away with the philosophical understanding that each of us has new beginnings every day. It is what we do with our 'new beginnings' that determines the goodness or the badness of the world around us.

This book was a good book. When i first picked it up I was unsure if I would want to read it just because of how big the book was. This book was a great and easy read. It took me about 4 days to read the whole thing, I never wanted to put the book down.

Is this all about a repeatition of sevens viewed as misfortunes but later to turn into blessings or a confirmation that seven is surely a lucky number? I have read stories about people not being so positive when a seeming misfortune creeps into their lives, then later the unfortunate stituation serving as the turning point that transforms their lives. How is this book so different? The coincidental (?) occurence of sevens? Or that the story is better told because the author is OPRAH?
