every christ folllower should read it.
ignore what you heard about rob and his "theology" and let the text speak for itself.

Very, very slow as he is quite thorough in building the background to his point. Solid and accurate point. If you work for a church and think church is great, you won't like it.

Good thoughts from Bell as usual, but not as enlightening as Velvet Elvis or much of his other work. Basically is a good outline of Liberation Theology but without the violence.

I loved the divergent ideas about how to rescue the church

typical Rob Bell... not his absolute best but still has some awesome moments... he is such a poetic writer and can take a deep theological idea and open it up to everyone by stating it brilliantly and bluntly... love the writing style

Good book for those of you who would like to "eat the fish and leave the bones." I don't agree with everything that Rob Bell brings in this book, but his points are well thought out and interesting. He ends up being a little harsh on the church at times, considering it's the bride of Christ and is being made perfect. Overall though, a very positive read. Definitely progressive thinking.

I like Rob Bell. This was pretty good. I wish I could remember more about it (but I guess that says it wasn't particularly "memorable" for me!).

It's seriously amazing to see how the church today, in exile or not, is remarkably similar to the history of the Israelites through Sinai, Jerusalem, Babylon and eventually Zion? Wow, I've got to read this again to swallow the depth of the content. Highly recommended!

Note as deep and moving as Rob Bell's earlier books, but still a good book. I recommend it to people who are already following Christ, but not growing.
