The main character Daniel likes to be alone, and wants to be left alone. He likes Math, and is brainy, and is considered weirdo from his piers. However, from one big incident, he changes. The new teacher Mr.Axelman doesn't appreciate him, and he gets frustrated against Daniel all the time. There are bullies that always do mean stuff to him. However, one of those bullies, Tozzer is also picked on by Mr.Axelman and called 'Monkey' from Mr.Axelman, so Tozzer hates Mr.Axelman. Daniel is forced to go to the summer camp by his father. Tozzer and Daniel pairs up and needed to find a marker, and gets lost, and goes into a cave with Mr.Axelman who came to find them. However, they slip down into the cave and can't get out of the cave. Mr.Axelman hit his head, fainted and got hurt very badly. Tozzer and Daniel tries to get out of the cave and cooperates. Then Tozzer realizes that Daniel really isn't weird. What Daniel realizes was that Tozzer doesn't like the other bullies. They find out a lot more about themselves and eventually manages to get out of the cave. Some of this happened because of Lonnie's words Daniel remembered. Lonnie is a old man who Daniel met in the camp. Lonnie always told him how he could fight and not get bullied by the bullies all the time. He always told Daniel about the natures, and that knowledge helped Daniel escape from the cave. Eventually, Daniel is recognized by people that he isn't that weird, because he was one of the people who helped escape out of the cave, and who saved Mr.Axelaman's life.
