As for the Book I, Robot the original is different from the modern version that we see in the movie version and the new book version. One the the other books that goes along with this version is the Caves of Steel. The orignal book is more a question of humanity. The newer version is for movie goers tha action adventure type. Big difference. When I saw the movie I was confused, but then I realized the difference in layout was for the movies.
They also did a music version called "Tha Alan Parsons Projet I Robot".
Based on Isaac Asimov's book. It was made between Dec 1976 and March 1977.

In regards to the reply below: I'm not sure if we read the same book! :) I did not find any violence or graphic imagery. In fact, these stories are not just science fiction, but they explore the essential questions of humanity. What separates us from robots? How are we any better?
