The book I have is called WINNIE THE POOH COLLECTION, but it has the same stories as in this book here.
I love Winnie the Pooh and the tales make me smile even now.
Brilliant for young and old

Oh to have had a friend like Pooh when I was young. As soon as my first grandson was born I bought him a complete collection of the stories and A A Milne's poems so he could grow up loving Pooh and Christopher Robin too. So sad what Disney has done to it all - I mean, GOPHERS????? Come on, purleeease!
The one bit I can never read without a box of tissues handy is the very last chapter of House at Pooh Corner where Christopher Robin tells Pooh he is going away to school to learn about 'Kings and knights and factors'... but wherever they go and whatever happens to them along the way, in a corner of the hundred acre wood 'a boy and his bear will always be playing'. Ooooh, pass the tissues.

I loved reading stories from this book as an elementary schooler. I loved the Disney cartoon but it made me even happier to understand the original stories behind the characters.

Disney did children no favor by dumbing down the brilliant characters of A.A. Milne. True to English wit and wisdom, each story is laced with subtle, dry humor and endearing characters. The plot for each story is skillfully spun and imaginative, and this is an absolute MUST have in any read-out-loud collection of children's literature. It is one I always included during my teaching days, and a huge favorite of my students.

This would be something we could tell to children to amuse them and to relax and simplify our life.
