  “When St. Paul, MN, Detective John Santana is called to investigate the murder of a prominent Hispanic man, he discovers that suspects and witnesses are dying before he can fully investigate them. A snow plow attempt to run him down and he has a confrontation with his supervisor, after which the chief threatens to pull him off the case. When he discovers a link between several of the dead men and a high ranking church official, he has to be very careful. Santana is a bit of a loose wire and has a past he wants to keep hidden, which seems a bit odd given all the security and background checks a new employee has to undergo.
