“Ein absolut tolles Buch! Ich habe es als Theaterstück vor einem Jahr gesehen und war total fasziniert, so dass ich mir direkt danach das Buch gekauft habe und regelrecht verschlungen habe! Ich kann das Buch nur weiterempfehlen!”

Whenever something happened in “real” life, the reader had to wait for the emails on the next day, to find out what exactly happened the night or day(s) before.
I thought the format worked really well and the way Leo and Emmi used email seemed very realistic. Only at times, it was maybe too realistic and became a little boring. Leo and Emmi started off very casual but their online relationship soon deepens. They don’t know much about each other at all but they become addicted to receiving each other’s emails.
I loved especially the emails after Leo and Emmi had not met up in the beginning of the book. Later, I found that the story dragged on a bit. The ending was surprising and I’m looking forward to reading the sequel.”
“This was my chosen book for my flight and I don't regret it. I couldn't put it aside, although it's not an amazing writing style, it is actually a very good story that keeps you reading and following the adventure of this two lovers through the internet.”

In my opinion the ending would be just right if the author had left it at that. Anyway, as for the book itself: I thought I had it pretty much sussed when I read the back - woman emails man, mistakenly, but it's the start of a virtual flirtation...blah blah b;ah. But it doesn't turn out quite like that. I found Emmi increasingly unlikeable, and at many points Leo was just as unlikeable - strangely this makes the book more satisfying as it's not over- sweet & predictable as it could easily have been. Some parts dragged & maybe it was because I read it in the original German, which can sometimes seem a little 'clunky', and in the end I was simply holding out for some kind of resolution. The ending, as I said before, got a thumbs-up from me. And now the dilemma is, do I live with that or do I give in to curiosity & read the next one at the risk of ruining what I felt was one of the book's best turns?”

this is an easy read for the most part as it is written the form of email correspondence that develops between two strangers which began thanks to a misrected email. the ending is predictable but i won't say more to avoid spoilers.
I enjoyed the book but i think the radio play haf softened and simplified emmas charactor. in the book she does come accross as much more self absorbed and pergaps calculating which some readers may find hard to deal with if your enjoyment of a book depends on your need to like a characer. I enjoyed the complexitiesof her charactor and felt that on the whole it was well written, even if the whole tried and tested theme of "will they? won't they? was carried on a little to far, leading me at times to think "oh get on with it"! ”
“I liked the idea much more than a book. I believe that most people had similar thing happened to them so it like pihh - nothing new. I don't know I wasn't really into it. Just one more story about married women who finds someone else but is afraid to do anything because it will mess her life bla bla bla and the guy who want's to get her in bed. end is no surprise - considering how man (no sex no game) and women (oh romance, he wants me and not sex oh God....) are.
Like I said almost a chic-lit which I HATE but more like a romance which I am not fond of too.”

In Love Virtually, Emmi mistakenly sends a total stranger (Leo) an e-mail cancelling her magazine subscription and their electronic banter spins off from there. Throughout this epistolary novel, we discover more about the two main characters and see only the information that is shared in their electronic correspondence. It felt as if I had hacked into someone's e-mail account and was reading their intimate words and secrets. I appreciate the realism that went into the writing of this novel. However, I wish the second book in this series was available as I was left completely on the precipice of a cliff! This quick, easy read is perfect for those who enjoy epistolary writing, romance, relationships and want to read something different from the norm. ”
