“This is the 5th book in The Isabel Dalhousie Series. Isabel Dalhousie is a philosopher with a keen sense of curiosity about puzzling situations. In this book, she is trying to determine why a renown doctor made a medication mistake that resulted in death for a patient. However, each book has subplots with her lover Jamie, her niece Cat and her housekeeper Grace that are also interesting . I enjoy working through philosophical quandries with Isabel, and the reader is often surprised along with Isabel at the outcome of a case. The stories don't involve gore or horror, but they offer a pleasurable read that is intriguing enough to keep me reading for long spells and eager for the next book to be published.
Read-alike: The Murder at the Vicarage and other Agatha Christie novels. ”
