Lectura placuta!”

I could have done without the apparent obsession with bowel movements that one chapter contained but otherwise I couldn't put it down and read it mostly in a single day. ”

The topic of a menage-a-trois between a passion-obsessed widower, his new wife, and his young devil-with-an-angel's-face son was not my cup of tea, but I read on anyways. I never forgot the plot nor some of the rude, yet humorous scenes between how the father finds some erotic pleasure in, uh, using the toilet. I only borrowed this book from the university library and fast forward a decade or so, I find that this book, though poorly reviewed by critics, is truly unforgettable and a keeper.
In addition, the novel also features classic romantic artworks depicting mother & child (the Madonna), Venus, and anything else that was related.
I really had a hard time looking through the Internet on this particular book as I had forgotten not only the title, but the author as well. And now that I know, well, I guess you can pretty much say that if a reader couldn't forget the plot, and ended up suffering from eyestrain just figuring it out, then it's definitely worth a read. ”
“This book brought my imagination and desires to the surface. It caressed softly, fervently, and cautiously, leaving a feeling of longing, gratitude and delirium. After reading, I pictured myself with my mouth open and my thoughts bursting.”
