Kia is a Nerakian bred to be a warrior on a planet where there are no wars and no need for warriors. Still, it is as ideal a planet as there could ever be--no disease, no wars, no violence and...no men.

Kia sets out on a mission to retrieve her cousin Mala from Earth and bring her back home to Nerak. However, when Kia experiences her first tastes of sex with a human male, not to mention her first taste of food--specifically chocolate--she begins to see exactly what she will be up against in trying to convince Mala to return home with her.

Nick Serecino is a cop on a mission and with a knight in shining armor complex and he has just spotted his damsel in distress when Kia enters a bar which he and his partner are staking out, waiting for a stoolie with ties to the Russian mob. But Nick's protective gene kicks in when a biker hits on Kia and refuses to take no for an answer.

But being the warrior that she is, Kia doesn't need much help. It doesn't stop Nick from helping her anyway.

Thus begins the odyssey of Kia's stay on earth and Nick trying to help her find her way to Mala so that Kia can go home. Between being suspended and under investigation by IA, shopping sprees with alien gems, the birth of his nephew and buying four puppies, Nick begins to wonder if he will be able to let go of Kia when it is time for her to go.

This is a sensual, action-packed and humorous book, and a part of a series that just gets better with each new entry.

I'm really looking forward to the next in the series--Bad Boys Guide to the Galaxy.
