Apparently brilliant satire never becomes stale because Voltaire is still hilarious in the 21st century. I would recommend an edition with at least a few footnotes in order to get all the humor.

I was forced to read this book over the summer for english. IT was a waste of my life and I don't recommend it for anybody. It went way to fast and I think that I am too young to understand any of jokes that were (according to my english teacher was in the book). I can uderstand that people liked it I just didn't
