“The torn skirt's main character Sara is a lost teenager. With her mother ran off, and a flaky father who leaves her alone for a week- it's no wonder that Sara is confused and restless. This story follows her chase for a girl she sees one day in a torn "skirt". To Sara, Justine, a street kid is glamorous and daring, everything Sara wants to be. So Sara follows her trail and ends up getting into a lot of dangerous situations and meeting many juvenile delinquent types. When she finally meets Justine, they become involved in a night that will change the small town that they live in forever.
Gorgeously written, every line could be read aloud as poetry. Love this book! ”

The story is thrilling and the style is gripping.
I loved it when I was a bored teenager, and still like it because of how relevant it seemed to me at that time.”
