I own them all so that will be no problem...I find him quite interesting and certainly not what I remember....but it has been many years (definitely over 15) since I read the vampire chronicles. I am most interested to discover if his character was alwas as he is portayed in this book or if he evolved into this character. Great book, a definite read after the Blackwood Farm.”

One would need to have read the previous books to get it, and even if you did, you'd find half of it completely useless. The clash of vampires, witches and semi-giants has lost me at this point in the story with a sense of mismatched powers all over the place. It was pretty disappointing compared to the past books. I did love seeing Lestat again though, with his desire to help those he loves.
The ending did at least reveal a new maturity in Lestat but otherwise, I didn't see the point in this little adventure at all.”
