The main character is Lestat and he finds himself ina rare predicament where a human has convinced him to change bodies so that he can be human again but then doesn't want to give his body back to Lestat. I liked it. A very interesting novel.

"Freaky Friday" meets "Days of Our Lives" meets Jean-Paul Sartre. More existential angst for Lestat.

This one is a little different from her other vampire chronicle books, but still good & interesting.

Slightly better than QotD, but not by much. This is the last book of the series that I read.

This was riveting. I listened to it on a audio tape so I dont retain much exact detail but the general story is intense and interesting.

this book revived the vampire series of anne rice after the failiure of the vampire armand. it brings you to lestat again which seems boaring at first but with a new vampiric power makes lestat happy. the reason is because he is now able to trade bodies which gives him the ability to beome human again. this leads to a great journey for lestat that seems to be a bit of the same old thing but it does it soo well i dont mind. this book should be read by all fans of the vampire series and will be loved by them too.

This and memnoch the devil I found the most enjoyable of the Anne Rice novels, they just seem to be written in an easier way and dont spend ten pages decribing a room.

There was a lot of humour in this book like when Lestat first eats for the first time in hundreds of years, or has to pee. Plus a more Vulnerable side to lestat come out (being human this would happen)

I think this may actually be my favorite Anne Rice book so far. It revolves around Lestat who, being tormented by visions of Claudia, decides he is tired of living forever with so much blood on his hands. When he is given the opportunity to trade bodies with a human he jumps at the opportunity, but immediately comes to realize the grave decision he has made. This story was a lot easier to read than the previous Vampire Chronicles, as there is a lot more action and humor than is usual. I nearly burst out laughing every time human Lestat begrudgingly had to use the toilet. If you've read the previous Vampire Chronicles you owe it to yourself to read this one.
