“Armand, Armand, Armand. What can i say? his story is deffinatly my favorite. His life just sucked so much. anything that ever made him happy was taken away from him.To begin with:-the crazy monks wanted to entomb him in mud when he painted enough ikons-he was kidnapped by slavers-beaten by slaversThen when something good does happen (Marius finds him), more tragic things occur.-crazy english lord he slept wtih stabs him with poisoned swordMarius is forced to turn a 16-17 year-old Armand into a vampire. things are good for a little while, then comes the crazies.-Santino and his ilk "kill" Marius and take Armand away-some pretty tramatic physcological torture-Lives as a satanic heathen for a couple hundred years-Lestat comes and pulls the rug from out from under his feetFinally in Memnoch the Devil after seeing proof there was a God and concequently having all of his ideals crushed, he tries to kill himself, and that doesn't even work. Things just don't go his way. He's so strong and deep and i love this character so much. I think Rice needed to have David wirte it because it was too personal for Armand himself to be able to wirte.”
“I adore this book. I mean Armand is and always was my favorite character, ever since I first read about him in Interview with a Vampire. I've read countless times and I fall in love all over again. It truly is a wonderful book”
“Armand was a sexy vampire, no doubt. I read the book and came away with how to deal with vampires and sex, which I wasn't to sure of. I still have him in my head and, now that you've mentioned the book here, I will re-read it because I'm writing another vampire story. All I can say about Louis is poor baby; and Lestat, whoa! Writing about vampires is like painting on a blank canvas, you can take it anyway your muse will take you. Suspend your logic. It's magical.”
“Yes i browsed thru the best parts in a store. It's about Armand's life as written by david. Strangely, why wouldn't he write it himself? So i don't like the impersonal touch of that. Rice's Lestat and Louis are still the most exciting for me! Actually i din like him for his weakness as a follower, but after i saw this book, i felt ok with it.”
“My fave next to Blood and Gold... which I'm still in the process of purchasing.. hehehe... (I borrowed it once from a library)”
“That was Lestat that went to Hell. Marius is the older Vampire that guards "Those Who Must be Kept".”
“I'm not sure I've read about Marius. Which of Rice's characters bargained with the devil while sitting at a bar. He was taken "down" to visit hell and freaked. Am I correct?”
“I like the Vampire Armand but I really like Marius. I don't know if you have read Blood and Gold but Marius is a stud. I think Lestat is a younger version of Marius and as he matures will ultimately be the same character. I actually like Pandora as my favorite. ”
“This is such a sexy vampire story. Armand is stunning for a vampire! How could you not like him? Does this character reveal Anne Rice's mind. They say a writer can't hide. Is it wanting the impossible man? I say, take what you want from it. I can find how to rate this book so, here, I give it 5 stars.”
