Audiobook review: Sedaris' dead-pan delivery makes this book difficult to read in public lest you find yourself stared at by passing strangers, all avoiding the hysterical giggler with the headphones.

LOVE David Sedaris' dry, witty sense of humor. He has a gift for taking even the most uncomfortable situations and making them hilarious.

David Sedaris has one liners that make you laugh out loud. His essays are so amusing, and it is even crazier that they are true. While this wasn't my favorite one of his books, I did love April in Paris and a few others.

this guy is so funny...and obviously in need of therapy. But then he wouldn;t be as much fun! LOL!

Reviewed in 2008-2009. Previously published hilarious and irreverent essays in Sedaris' off beat yet right on the money sense of humor. This collection ranges from childhood exploits to elderly neighbors eccentricities. A truly funny book.

David Sedaris finds a way to out-do himself in this hilarious book about the chore of quitting smoking… At least that’s what a lot of the book is about.
Sedaris becomes open and personal, even more so than in the past, about his homo-sexuality, and keeps the laughs coming. While a lot of authors who share their personal life in their books start to fall off, Sedaris has mastered his art, and, in my opinion, has written his finest work.

More of Sedaris' weird life adopting spiders, tricking suicidal songbirds, being possibly mistaken for a serial killer, and quitting smoking in Japan.
