I hated this book. It was boring to me. This was my first exposure to Sedaris' writing, should I try something else of his?

I found this funny and entertaining with some repeats of earlier essays. My favorite still remains
"Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim". Completely laugh out loud funny.

I downloaded the sample chapter on my Kindle and read it, but didn't really enjoy it. I laughed out loud a couple times, but found it boring. This was my first exposure to Sedaris' writing. Does it get better if I keep reading, or should I bail?

David Sedaris is ALWAYS worth a read, if you ask me. He's consistently hilarious and more and more he's becoming insightful and introspective, which definitely appeals to me. Funny is one thing, but smart funny blows my skirt up.

I'm about half way through, I am a Sedaris fan, and I am really enjoying it. Definitely doing the usual laughing out loud usually accompanying a Sedaris book. He's still got it! I'll give a full report when finished!
