Rapunzel lived a sheltered life with plenty to eat, a bed to sleep in, and lots of servants to take care of her. But she longed to see what was on the other side of the great wall surrounding her home. The day she climbed over the wall, she saw that while she and Mother Gothel were living in luxury, the people out side of their walled mansion were living horribly, forced to work in the mines. Rapunzel also meets her real mother, and past memories flowed in, about how Mother Gothel stole her as a small child.
