“This book is about a young girl going through the holocaust in the 1940's. The book is set up as her telling her story, what she saw, what people said, and what she suffered through. ”

There are also some wonderful interviews with her through the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. She is an amazing woman.”

The reader experiences many emotions throughout this book but in the end they get a better understanding of this time. The struggle of the main character and her family is felt very strong by each person who reads this book. Gerda Weissmann tells her story in a beautiful detailed way!”
