  “Fun, most interesting chapters are those on Dubai, Moscow and Las Vegas because I didn't know anything about their food scene (but they also help flesh out the whole chef empire scene as well).”

  This book is a food travelogue - I've been to Las Vegas and Dubai but not to Moscow. These are the three cities I've read, thus far. I'm not quite sure, though, why he wrote about Moscow and not St. Petersburg.
  
  This is the type of book I can put down and pick up a month or two later, continuing with a 'new' city he's written about.
  
  I finished the book - have been to some of the restaurants Rayner mentioned - had his same experiences in Tokyo, in particular, which I loved to compare and contrast his feelings and mine.
  
  This is a good read for a foodie - be aware that his warning at the start is quite serious: you will get the munchies while reading the book!”
