Oh thank God. Felt like such a troglodyte for being unable to finish "Running with Scissors," but I found this one to be quite a pleasant read.

I picked this up randomly from the library, not expecting much. Three hours later I was sitting in a Starbucks trying to rein in my laughter. You will fly through this memoir and wonder that a man could have such a colorful past.

This book is about a man that has already written another book called running with scissors. he goes around random collages and high school to talk about his book. his best friend and him go to france and get a dog wich they think is the devil, trying to train it and live his life. all of the colleges that he goes to he gets a sweatshirt from there and so he can wear it around so he can convince people he went there when really he dropped out of highschool.

Could NOT stomach his memoir --running with scissors ( a really sick book) but this memoir was very funny. Its a series of vignettes so you can pick it up and put it down easily. I read this after reading his brother's memoir so it was nice to see bits of them as adults.

I would put this book as a close second to "Magical Thinking". The book started out with very funny stories that had me laughing out loud in some spots ~ but it didn't hold up through the entire book. Still a good read.

I listened to the audio book version and was constantly oogled by people as I was passing because I was laughing my ASS off.

Can't say I actually finished it, because I couldn't! I didn't really care too much about the non-eventful day-to-day life of the author. Though he is a little comical, but I got sick of the "F" words nonetheless....yet, again!
