This is definitely my favourite of the three Takeshi Kovacs novels that I have read. He is pretty explicit with the sex scenes, and that part of the story does not really advance the plot for me. But the story in this first one is quite entertaining. I found it starting to drag somewhat in the next two . . . and I have avoided the fourth as of yet. Maybe I will get around to it though.
