“I picked this one up as a part of the Humble Indie E-book Bundle, I'd not read any books by Paolo Bacigalupi prior to that. Pump Six is a collection of short stories, the majority of which I think are occurring in the world created for Windup Girl. This world is a part of the ever growing "enviro-dystopian" subgenre if sci fi. In this world large food producers (think like pioneer-hybrid) have the most power and a large part of the tech sector has wound down.
It was a decent short story book. If you're into "eco-dystopian" this is going to be a good be a good read for you. If you don't get into dystpoian, as I tend not to, it may be a pass for you. ”
