I laughed so hard. Her debauchery leaves little to the imagination, and "thats the way uh huh uh huh I like it!"
Friggin' hysterical!

I absolutely loved this book. Chelsea Handler has a very conversatioal style of writing that sucks you in. Not to mention, she is absolutely hysterical. Anyone that is that open about their sex life and humiliating stories gets major props from me.

Chelsea handler shares the ups and downs and low downs of her sexual escapades, including a midget, a "black phase", and a nasty, self-inflicted, elbow injury. This is an hysterical book made up of short stories. Handler writes with a refreshing honesty. She is fearless and self-effacing, and she makes me feel so much better about my own indiscretions, mostly alcohol induced as hers are.

Here is my question: does she give away too much? Women have always been taught to maintain mystery. I think it's an extension of the "why buy the cow" school of thought. It's one thing to gossip with your girlfriends about this man or another, but it's another thing to put it in print. How much should we be fessing up to? I think I tend to believe that the more honest we are in public, the better. For example, I love that we have started to swear on primetime. "Ass", "damn", and even "bitch" are completely acceptable, when they never used to be. I love that Handler has made filthiness into a career. She is a real life Samantha jones, and I love it.

Chelsea Handler is hilarious. I love her show and I loved this book. I read "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea" before this one but I think this one is funnier. It's not so much a collection of one-night stands, but more just stories about the men she has dated, almost dated, or had one night stands with. It's a very short book and I finished it pretty fast. I heard she is coming out with a new book(?). I can't wait to read it! :)

My Horizontal Life is a collection of the most interesting one night stands (or almost one night stands) that Chelsea Handler shares with many different men. She talks about her foray into alcohol, partying and being a beard for her gay friend, as well as doing the occasional drugs. While insanely cringe-worthy at some points, My Horizontal Life is a book that will make most women really laugh out loud.

Are you there vodka? It's Me, Chelsea was funnier, but Chelsea's humor was still strong in this one.
