“One of my favorite books ever! Very descriptive and vivid...until the last few chapters. I felt he rushed through the last 2 or 3 chapters and the ending was too quick. ”

She had a very unique grandmother and a great relationship with her. Her life experiences from college, working, and marriage were all full of interesting happenings and kept me wanting to know what happens next. Some parts of this story seem like the main character, Alice, was similar to Laura Bush, but not totally. ”

“I enjoyed this very much. I felt however it lost its way a bit two thirds of the way through and I wanted more around the presidency.”

“This book really started off strong, but the ending was disappointing. I felt that it made more of a statement about the Bush presidency than it did the experience of being a first lady.”
