What can I say; been following this mystery series since the beginning. Literary with character development and social commentary. The kind of mystery I find worth reading.

This wasn't my favorite of the series, that's for sure. It felt very repetitive and meandering.

Typically I love Elizabeth George, but her last two books have been lackluster. This one was, unfortunately, pretty forgettable.

this was disappointing, most unfortunate and mind numbingly boring. I can't believe I actually read it to the end. A cast of dozens but I found it impossible to get to know or to care about any of them. Even Lynley and Havers come without depth. I trust this isn't a trend. We all have our good days and our bad days. This entire novel was a bad day.

Great depressing read for the winter! lol. But interesting to see this cavaran lifestyle, surfing lifestyle and the walking trail lifestyle of Britian.

Another suspenseful George mystery. Well written and, as usual, she injects comments about social issues. In this book, it's dealing with grief.

I'm an Elizabeth George fan, so love all her books. In this one the mystery was almost secondary to the large cast of characters. Wonderful to have Lynley and Havers back together.

So far, I'm finding it very slow - not much action.
